Windows Vista (beta 2) - VPC

Como já devem saber a versão beta 2 do Windows Vista está disponível.
Muitos dos "problemas" a instalar o Vista em um VPC desapareceram ! Será que alguém conseguiu instalar as versões anteriores em um VPC ?? Não deve ter sido tarefa fácil !!! :// Muitos acabaram por desistir.

E agora ? Ok, a instalação ocorre sem grandes problemas :p mas.... no VPC fica lento... porquê ?
Será que uma máquina com 2G Ram e com uma boa placa gráfica, não chega ? :p

Bem, existem alguns problemas com o Virtual PC ou Virtual Server.

"Virtual PC and Virtual Server both emulate the same graphics adapter - an S3 Trio32/64 which is (if I'm not mistaken) 1996-era hardware."

Pois é, com essa placa assim não dá não !!! Pelos menos precisamos de 128MB na placa !! :)
O que vos posso dizer é que em breve existirá um update:

"Setup is a piece of cake. As of build 5365, you no longer have to prepare your hard drive ahead of time, so you got that going for you. If you're using Virtual PC (or Virtual Server RTM), you still need to use an alternate way to mount the ISO in the virtual machine.

Mas eu quero testar o Vista Beta 2 !!!!

Existem algumas opções:

Instalar o Vista Beta 2 no disco OU utilizar o VM Server beta !

Será que alguem consegue obter uma boa velocidade usando o Virtual PC ou Virtual Server com o Vista beta 2?

Pa, nem no vmware se da para usar o vista. num pc real, tb nao e facil se tiveres so 1 giga de ram (como e o meu caso).

Ricardo... esquece o VPC ou o VMWARE para testar o Vista. Se queres testar o vista a sério, testao numa maquina. Compra um disco que não é muito caro e instala o Vista para um disco a parte.

O meu problema foi o ISO que fiz download do site da MS. Gravei para um DVD dual layer com o nero 7 mas dá erro ao copiar os ficheiros quando se faz boot pelo DVD. E um erro que nada tem a haver com possiveis problemas com o DVD.

Eu tenho testado o Vista num Dell 370 com 1gb DDR II com um PIV 3.4 HT EM64T e uma placa GEforce 6600GT com 128mb. A unica versao que consegui instalar funcionava muito bem. Tb eu tentei usar o VPC ao inicio mas o VPC tem um bug com processadores centrino em que alguns caso fica extremamente lento e com um uso de processador excessivo.

pa, tao n percebo...a minha placa grafica e uma radeon 9700 com 256 ram dedicada e so a beta 2 e q deu pra instalar. nas ctps anteriores, o pc reiniciava ao fim de 1 ou 2mins
